Aberdeen International Youth Festival

Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) is an annual celebration of youth arts in Aberdeen and the North-east. Now in its 45th year, 2017 will welcome a rich and diverse range of performances, productions and projects bringing together young performing artists from across the globe.

AIYF has a strong reputation for creating a platform for talented young people to meet, collaborate and perform across venues – ranging from major theatres to village halls and even in the city centre streets.

This year, the festival will showcase a Steel Pan Orchestra and a youth theatre company from the West Indies, musical theatre from UK and USA; traditional musicians from USA and Norway; orchestral and choir music from Italy, Holland, Scotland and Russia as well as dance and contemporary music from India, Italy, Scotland, Czech Republic, China and Russia. The festival creates a unique blend of cultures, artistic innovation and energy!
